Exadata Database Machine

Exadata Database Machine, the first engineered system released by Oracle in 2008, is now available with its fifth generation. Introduced to the IT world in the last quarter of 2013, Exadata Database Machine offers an extraordinary database performance against data warehouse and mixed database loads.   • Hybrid Columnar Compression With its HCC feature, Exadata offers disk compression between 10x and 50x. HCC is an important feature to reduce I/O values and decrease costs and thus allows storing more data in a less disk block.
  • Real Application Cluster (RAC) Oracle RAC is a solution that enables multiple servers in a cluster architecture use the same storage unit and access to a single database. With this feature, the solution offers high continuity and scalability, and the load in the cluster is shared to other servers in case one of the servers accessing to the same database is shut down or fails.
